how to prepare seeds

can any one help me out im wanting to try seeds for carp and was wondering when i have soaked them do i then have to boil them or will the the soak in boiled water be ok?cheers

Rick, What I do is to soak them over night, then the next day I drain them off, then put the seeds into a pot fill to three quarters with water and using a low heat gas/elect bring to the boil then simmer them for one hour.
I then drain them right away so that the seeds will not go into a mush, once they have cooled down I put them into bags so I can freeze them and take as much out the freezer I need for that day/week end-er fishing.

Hi Rick, For hemp I half fill my flask with hemp and fill with boiling water and leave overnight, drain in the morning, spot on every time. Note: if you use groundbait save the water from the flask to mix with the groundbait. Tight lines Robbie.

Also remember if you ever use nuts of any type pre soak for at least 24 hours.

Good advice Robbie. I use the same technique, but I also add a couple of tablespoons of Bi-carb of soda as this gives the hemp a nice dark colour.
