What kind of fish is this?

I was bass fish on Sunday 9-02-2009 at Lake O' the Pines, located in east Texas, when I caught this. I thought it was a bass, until it got closer to the boat. I am puzzled, and need help identifying it. Thanks

Re: What kind of fish is this?

Thanks, I wasn't sure. Acording to Texas Parks and Wildlife, Pike is not in that lake. But the lake is supplied by the river, so I don't think they can be sure of what is in there.

Re: What kind of fish is this?

Thats a pike mate but over there you have a couple of different species of pike I think you have northern pike which go massive & another species I forget what they are called now but it looks like the other species to me.
