Re: just wondered y there isnt a reccord for hybrid reccord for bream and roach its all a bit vague, hybrids are not a specific species, proving whether they are true hybrids would be an absolute nightmare, its bad enough when a large crucian is caught or a large roach, the only way to truly confirm the fish would be to kill it and we dont want that Last edited by fishypaul; 07-30-2009 at 08:18 PM.

Re: just wondered y there isnt a reccord for hybrid reccord for bream and roach i seem to catch a lot of roach hybrid on my local canal, the way they look is different, the hybrids fins arnt as orange as a true roach and they release quite a bit of slime making me think they are cross with bream but to answer your question the rule book on record fish doesnt cover hybrids and any one who thinks they heve a record roach needs to take a scale sample and send it in with a photo as evidence where they will do dna testing to see if it is a hybrid or not.

Re: just wondered y there isnt a reccord for hybrid reccord for bream and roach I'm pretty sure there is an Irish hybrid record but don't quote me on it BW __________________ Blackwater Tackle Supplies Keep Ulster's Waters Healthy, Practice Catch and Release!
