| New pole - help needed Firstly, this is my first post, to hello everyone! I've just bought a new maver pole off eBay and I need a few questions answering. It's a Maver Genesis and it came with... * 1 power top 2 kit * 1 match top 3 kit * 1 cupping kit. Firstly, I can't work out which is the power kit, and which is the cupping kit. Both look fairly similar. One is slightly longer, and tapers to a thinner point than the other. I'm assuming this is the cupping kit, and the slightly shorter, slightly wider kit is the power kit. Am I right? Secondly, the top 3 match kit. It's obvious that the top 2 pieces are telescopic. But it looks like the join between sections 2 and 3 could either be telescopic (in the pole?) or a standard pull apart type join. Which is it? I'm guessing its the telescopic as the match kit came supplied in the pole - where as the other 2 came in separate plastic tubes. I'm assuming this indicates I should keep storing the match kit inside the pole - and it'll only stay inside if I stick to the telescopic option for all three sections of the match kit. Can someone who's got one of these let me know? ta, Bruce |

| Re: New pole - help needed I think I've worked part of this out. I now reckon that the shorter, fatter top 2 kit is is the cupping kit. Only because the end is so much wider, and I'd need one heck of a fat bush to go on the end. I'd end up loosing the elastic connector down the hole. lol Now thats sorted, I'm not only wondering about wether the top 3 match kit is all supposed to be telescopic, but also if the power kit and cupping kit is supposed to be. If I use them telescopicly, I can keep using the 2 plastic tubes when transporting. I've also got an 8.5m drennan margin carp pole, and the top 2 sections are very obviously pull apart sections as the 2nd section has a matt finish where the top section slides over the top. Not so with the Maver pole - it has the same finish all the way up to the end. |
