fishing advice

hi i recently went fishing with a work mate at greenfields , i used his gear and fancy doing fishing myself , rather than ask him what gear i need rods ex , i tried ebay and not sure what to get , greenfields is a resivior loaded with trout , the stuff we used was looked like a standard rod and reel and we used powerbait , what i need to know is what type of rod and reel i need to look for as there is so many , a link to ebay would be helpful thanks

Re: fishing advice

a good all round starter rod and reel i would recomend for bait fishing and spinning is a shakespear xcede, rod and reel will only cost you about £30
just look it up, there should be loads on ebay
maybe buy a spool of 8lb line, a couple of bubble floats and some hooks to get you started, then just add to it from there.
if there's anything else you need to know dont hesitate to ask.

Re: fishing advice

Fishing for Trout by what ever means,is game fishing,NOT coarse and just to be a spoil sport,I will remind you that the rod license for game fishing costs much more than for coarse fishing.
