| stock levels for a 3.5 acre lake in one of britains premiere carp fishery Hi, new to the forum and hoping someone would give some sound advice on what levels of carp should be in a 3.5 acre lake with 7 swims on it , which all fish, up to 4 rods per swim. The owner says there are approx 60 carp present upto about 30lb but mostly all 10-15 lb, he says if they put more in they would all die, is this correct and what sort of levels of carp do you think should be in this lake, need to get some grounds for complaints to the owner, Thanks in advance. | Re: stock levels for a 3.5 acre lake in one of britains premiere carp fishery Call the enviroment agency they can tell you the maximum aloud in the lake at a guess id say no more than 200 in a 3.5acre lake but its up to the owner how meany he wants to stock up to the max the EA say. If your not happy with the amount of fish in the lake then dont fish it. Its cauld fishing not catching. |

| Re: stock levels for a 3.5 acre lake in one of britains premiere carp fishery i know its fishing, not catching, but its taken over one and a half years to produce my first fish, thats a bit too long for anyones liking, i think the owner is taking the micheal abit by selling swims saying the lake is well stocked when its not, Cheers anyway Carpy J |
