| Re: Best bait for carp Whenever I see threads which ask for the best bait for a particular species it makes me wince because there is not any 'best bait' for any fish, it all depends on the water, weather, fish, time of year, what they have or have not seen before, the makeup of the bottom and the water together with a host of other things at the time. Some of the better baits I have used for Carp on some waters have been: Strawberry, Pineapple or Honey flavour boilees, Crab pellets, Lamprey Pellets, Bread flake/crust and redworms and quality peeled prawns. but I wouldn't say any one of these is the best bait for Carp and the things that are much more important than the bait you use is Location, location, and location. __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now)     |
