Have the basics where to start?

Hello all. Desperately in need of your help. New to fishing bought some gear on a limited budget misses orders.

12ft match rod and reel. 6lb + 4lb line. hooks 14-20. floats,ledgers,small feeder,swivels,landing net,unhooking mat etc.

Live near norwich so tried a few lakes but need 10lb line, carp rods, size 10 hooks, etc.finding it hard to find anywhere that caters for novices where there are smaller catch. Double figger carp are o.k but i wouldnt know what to do with it. Just need to gain experience and learn the basics.

Going to try fakenham mill, or dereham rd near bawedwel for river fishing tomorrow.

PLEASE can anyone help and point me in the right direction to a pond, lake where the novices are welcome.

Re: Have the basics where to start?

Try shallow brook lakes in Norwich, off the Derham rd just past Bowthorpe heading towards the city.
