why do i blank

why did i blank when everyone else got carp out,i used 14mm pellets corn and spam.with a bed of 4mm pellets.using a hair rig.size ten hook and a running wait. Just did seem to get a thing.could it be that i got a cheap bait alarm or sould i be strickin when it beeps the once, im just not sure.

you will know if u had a decent carp on its nothing to do with ya alarms might just be an unlucky day or the carp was biting or didnt like the bait you provided to the fish. Have u used the bait on there before on there and caught mate

Try having a pee behind a bush or try holding a hot drink in one hand and a roll/sarny in the other; that usually gets me a run

i never fished there before but was on the same set up as most of the others and the same baits,could it be the angle my rod was at and the fact that my rod was higher up cos i couldnt get to my swim.

I dont think it had any thing to do with how your rod was,you just had one of those day's,you may well might have been fishing were no carp were,like you said you had never fished there before so maybe try moving to another swim if you aint catching, i know i liked to move about on my local when i started.

I think sometimes people get boged down in one swim and dont want to move when not catching, But 5 mins in the right place is better then 5 hours in the wrong:).Tight lines.

i agree with BB. when your doing something and not paying attention to your rods seems to catch you the fish;)

its so true went last friday and everytime i got a text or got a drink i got a bite sods law.
