| old rod ? HI JUST WONDERING ABOUT AN OLD ROD I WAS GIVEN TODAY IS A Algonquin Blanchard MODEL 550 ROD FROM CANADA I DONT REALLY KNOW WHAT SORT OF FISHING ITS FOR AS I MAINLY FLY FISH AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I COULD USE THIS ROD FOR HAS ANYONE ANY IDEAS OR SHOULD I JUST THROW IT ? | Re: old rod ? Hi there, from what I can gather Alonguin Blanchard may have had something to do with lure fishing. I only gathered this info from a company I found on the tinterweb who are now using dies given to them by Alonguin Blanchard company to punch out there lures which are allegedly good trout lures. So just an informed guess it may well be an old spinning type rod. Perhaps if you could post a piccy some of the more informed guys maybe able to spot some charecteristics of the rod familiar to there type of fishing. Not sure I've been of much help but hope I've set you on the right trail. |
