Who fights the hardest I know similar post titles have been posted, but I am planning on keeping this within carp. Just wondering, after some chats in local tackle shop, what members think. Do Common Carp out fight Mirror Carp. I my opinion they do, but I only fish one water which has a both in it in reasonably proportionate numbers. So what do you think?

Re: Who fights the hardest I thik I'm with Paul, and whilst his verdict is only the 5th, I thik its a 4-1 ratio in favour of commons, but I ought to add, that a 5lb wildie is a better scrapper than a 5lb common.

Re: Who fights the hardest I am with Paul too, commons do seem to fight more, mirrors seem to be more placid, I think

Re: Who fights the hardest I too think that commons fight harder, and river commons fight even harder than still water ones probably because they do more workouts against the river current. __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now)

Re: Who fights the hardest I believe there are some, as they were stocked by the EA in Berkley lake. They exist on older waters. Sadly as they do not grow to the size of common or mirror strains they have been neglected over the years by breeding programs. If your ever in the Wilts area, one of us could talke you to Berkley. I would be interested if any one know of a scale count to define the differnece wbetween commons and wildies?
