| putting line on reel whats the best way of putting new line on my reel. ALSO i have put new line on before and i have found that it goes curley when you are fishing how do i prevent this. |

| Re: putting line on reel the way ive always been told is put your reel on the bottom half of your rod thread line though the eye on the rod then tie the line to your spool then place the spool of new line in a bucket of water then reel it on dont over fill the spool it will birds nest if you do so go just under the lip or rim of the spool hope this helps |

| Re: putting line on reel The bucket trick is the best, nylon has memoery, some more than others, and if the line has been on the shop spool, then goes onto your reel the 'other' way, it jumps off and tangles first chanc it gets. I can't explain how the bucket works, but it does. |
