Re: Local lakes (wiltshire ish area)

Greenheart (Ian) had some. I guess you have to find the prey fish.
Meant to be some in the railway ponds.
Through some friends, there's a chance of a guided trip to one of the Drains around Glastonbury, if so I'll pm you. They would eb on the GMAA exchange ticket.

I had a jack pike on a plug back in the summer. Also had a fair few follows. Bananna Steve lost a big Pike at Foxham last year when he fished there with Twiddler & myself. Pike used to be a real pest up there when matches were fished there. Often grabbing good sized fish as you reeled them in. I think you just need to find out where the silver fish have shoaled up for the winter. Come along to our Zander meet on the Sharpness canal next Saturday. We've had some nice pike there on previous meets...

Unhappy Re: Local lakes (wiltshire ish area)

Very Sad News, the local angling club the School of Infantry has Folded and their lake is to be land filled to be used for housing. the owner of the land has no interest in the fishing and just wants rid of the lake.

Re: Local lakes (wiltshire ish area)

That really is such a shame its a lovely little lake I had a look there on the way back from foxham on saturday it was mostly frozen but the bits I could see into sweree crystal clear. Steve do you know who the owners are? do you know how long before they fill it in?
