| rods and reels hi jus wondering if anyone can giv me bit of advice regarding rods and reels, recently only taken up fishing and am now completely hooked , at the min i hav a 8ft spinning rod which i am using for basically everything , sea fishing for mackerel , pollock etc , trout fishing using it for ledgering and float , i knw that differnt rods have different purposes , will i need to gt myself the differnt rods for different techniques or is there a sorta general purpose rod and the same with the reels, also if not could someone reccomend any rods/ reels for beginner range sort of reasonably priced that are of decent quality for me , thanks |

| Re: rods and reels A light carp rod can work well for general use, its just more about how you fish with the rod than the rod its self (the rig, bait, position, tackle are more important) last year I caught a small bream around 2 lb on a bamboo stick with line tied on. ![]() __________________ visit all-style-fishing.blogspot.com/ Just started it up 1st article on rod and reel for pits and small lakes + good links for where to buy new bait info now up :) |
