How did u start fishing? Who got you into it tell me

I went to a small lake a bit bigger than a pond and i wnt with a couple of mates for a laugh i was about 12 or 13 i have done it before but i didnt like it, the first ever fish i caught was a tench at the time i thought it was a monster cause all me mates caught was roach and i caught this green soapy monster it was nt massive but for first fish it was massive. it was in the summer wen i caught me fish first i went every day in the summer and mean everyday i loved it. it was great and i love it i went the same place a couple wweks back and caught 6 lb carp on maggots thats how good it was i loved and tell me how use all started to fish and how u caught it and wot the fish was. and if u have got pics show me thanks

Hi Paddy,

As a youngster I used to pass a section of Ayr harbour nearly every day, where there was always somebody fishing. I always asked whoever I was with to take me over to watch.

When I was about 4 - 5 my dad took me fishing with a cane, some orange twine, a bent safety pin as a hook and a large nut for a weight. He picked a Limpet from the wall as bait and let me lower the baited line into the water. Less than a minute later I had my first fish, a Mackerel. Needless to say it dropped off, but I was hooked for life.

Since then I have fished in nearly all of the 93 + countries that I have either worked in or visited all over the world.

was me grandad god rest him in liverpool dock actualy albert dock used to catch elvers to eat sometimes cod and bloody big ones off the river used to walk out at low water with hook and string no one could afford a rod then cant walk out now upsets the tourists and h*s people one cod would be enough for three familys happy days
