Feeder Reel for general course use.

Hi,

I have the opportunity to a reel for free that is stated as a feeder reel, it is front drag, 4 ball bearings. Can this be used for general hook bait fishing, an how would I put line on it. Sorry for the very basic questions.

yes it will be fine i would bought 4 pound line on and wen u go for small fish but a hook link on of 2 pound or something

all i do is wrap it round and tie a little knot then reel the line onto it.
