| A great fishing cock-up Felt I needed to admit to this one. Went down Budleigh seafront on B/H monday morning for a 10am high tide. I got down there and the water seemed a little low. So I had a go for a couple of hours (spinning only) and drew a blank so retired home. The water looked a little low but I figured it wasn't a neap high tide so thought nothing of it.... Checked my favourites on I.E when I got home and checked the URL for my tide table link.... Damnit! It had an end of March 2009 date in it!  Following the correct URL being saved (a dateless one where I click on "exmouth" to find my local times) I realised high tide was actually at 2pm.... DOH!  Perhaps I should buy a tide table in paperback form instead?  __________________ Jason - Got the flavour for fishing back!     |

| Re: A great fishing cock-up Been there. Done that. Wondered where the hell all the water had gone.... Think I've almost got a full set of cock ups now.... Forgot bait, forgot head torch, forgot reels... Haven't forgotten rods yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Paper tide table (From Rob's tackle in town) is invaluable for deciding where to fish when you're on the beach (and away from your computer!) Of course, the tide table is just something else to forget...  Question: Tide times (In my book at least) are aways GMT. Why can't they put the extra hour on for BST from the relevant dates.....?????
