hey!!

hey guys.. im new here, and just thought id share my story with u all :)

my fella got me into fishing, and i absolutly love it.. ive already caught over 53lb of carp (mirrors) in two days out to Canon's Ashby in Northampton, and cuz im new to the hobby, i dont know how good that is, but everyone is saying thats amazing that ive managed to pick it up after such a short amount of time. my fella said ive picked it up really fast, as all my carp have been at 7lb or more (pb is 13.5lb) all caught on 5lb line and rod.

i love the buzz of hooking into a big capr and managing to land it properally! but i also love to catch a few silvers in the morning, feed them off, then catch the bigg boys and girls.

i just brought a heavier rod too, as we are gong to drayton resevoir in daventry so now i have a better peace of mind that im not goin to losoe my rod on bigger fish.

anyway.. if uve got any tips for me as a begginer, id much appreciate it :)

Thanks all, Danni

ps. how many other women are on this forum?? :)

Re: hey!!

well we went to Drayton, and didn't catch anything at all!!! was quite a disappointment actually, as we were told that there would be a dieinate catch, at between 13-15lb carp all day. i know its called fishing and not catching, but still! a heavily stocked carp lake, and nothing, not even a nibble!! we gave up at about 4ish to go home!! we recon it was because we were the only ones in the top corner of the lake, with about 30 odd pegs being fished at the bottom, so all the fish were down there and across with the match. but never mind eh? we are goin to go back when we both know carp fishing a bit better, and go down for the whole weekend. :)

Re: hey!!

yeah i know, but at least i havent been discouraged from still going. that was my sixth time fishing ever, and first time to a proper carp lake.. so i know ive still got plenty of days when i should hopeuflly catch some nice fish*cough* tench *cough* ^^ can't wait to get in to some nice tench :P but that will have to wait.. tony thinks we need to take a step back, as we have been trying to do a lot of carp fishing, and im only just starting out, so meh.. im all good with some nice litle silvers for now ;)
