Help needed - an important question

Hi,

I've been living in Blandford for not long time and I'd like to fish in Stour River. I know that the river is divided into many sections and each of them belongs to a different owner. Unfortunately I don't know where I could find out who they all belong to.
I've asked in the Conyers shop about it, but I've only been shown the distances that belong to Blandford Angling Club. And nothing more unfortunately. Is there any map or a list or a website where I could check how the river is divided and which clubs the sections belong to?

I'll appreciate your help.

Regards,
Tomasz

Re: Help needed - an important question

Hi:),

Thank you very much for your reply. I forgot to say however that I knew about it, sorry! I know that this section is free and which sections belong to Blandford Angling Club, but it's not enough for me. I'd like to know exactly which club owns the longest section (or sections) on River Stour close to Blandford (in the radius of about 10 miles around the town) and where these sections exactly are so that I could be a member of such a club afterwards and so that I could fish on the longest section of River Stour.

Thanks a lot for all the replies:)

Re: Help needed - an important question

I know Twiddler & Mithrandir have fished some of the Stour. Maybe they can help...

Re: Help needed - an important question

Thank you for all your advice. Maybe my questions seem to be odd but as I mentioned, I am not from here and fishing in my country is organised in a different way. I would like to fish in your waters according to the law and the rules of your angling clubs. Therefore I am trying to find out as many details as possible.I am interested the most in River Stour section between Shillingstone and Sturminster Marshal. I found out that this section belongs to Wimborne and District Angling Club. I will to get some more information directly fom them.
Thanks once again :)
Tomasz
