| Re: What lb line would you use? no I dont think so, if you need to use 3lb line perhaps you need to use another rod, my main rod is a north western 1.5 tc barble, this rod has caught me loads of carp chubb and barble, but once I put 4lb line on it, and found the line breaking,as the rod was not able to do its job, so I never go below 6lb, most 1.75 tc rods I have seen say 6 to10 or 12 ftlb lines, on my 1.5 tc I use 8lb |

| Re: What lb line would you use? If your kingfisher rod a match rod then I wouldn't go above 4lb. 3lb has always been my preference. If it is a power waggler rod than between 4-7lb. The above post was to settle an argument between me and a friend who thought you could use light lines on stiff rods. |
