a few tips please

hi guys & gals,
am going night fishing tonight for 1st time in many years at my local lake, taking my brother-in-law & 1 of his mates for their 1st night fishing session too, we're going about 6ish & hopefully leave before the baliff does his rounds lol.
i know which pegs i'll put us on (quite open & no big snags in the swims, so less chance of hooking a tree or similar), got all the essentials for the night out.
any tips on baits? only ever used maggott or worm on previous night fishing sessions, have got maggott, groundbait mix, pellets, bread & sweetcorn that i can use.
also, only got maggott feeders & open cage feeders, will these be fine, or would it be worth grabbing a method feeder before we go?
got plenty of lamps/torches & my bait alarms, but would it be worth getting some glow sticks for the rod tips?
i don't have swingers, would these be usefull? have old washing up bottle tops though ... or have we moved on from the primative blue peter tips? lol.
any tips would be very welcome as memory isn't the best & it's been about 15 years since i last went night course fishing.
will check in later, thanks everyone

The baits youve got are fine.Lamps/torches,bite alarms and glow sticks are not a good idea if your trying to avoid being caught by the bailiff!!! Its amazing how far away the glow from a cigarette can be seen at night!!!! LOL Goodluck!

Re: a few tips please

cheers guys,
we've all got our licences, so nothing to worry about there lol, the baliff only makes 1 pass a day, not always during the week, but he's there every sat & sun. just meant if we're about & packed up, we'll have another free fishing session, i don't object to paying for the ticket, but i've only ever seen the baliff once.
will post a report tomorrow, when i get in or have had a nap lol
