info on a rod

Hi i have just purchased a split cane rod in very good condition.Made by S.Allcock&co ltd of Redditch England.It is called ''the lough''.It appears to be a salmon rod but not sure.Very sturdy and strong so think it may have been for larger species.There is no AFMTA number or serial numbers.Also it has the origanal case. Can anyone shed any light on this rod please. Age unknown at present
