New Liscence fun and games

I popped into the main post office in WArminster, to get new car tax and ask about rod liscence. Turned out the letter I had from ther EA, which I mainly ignored, was meant to be presented, so it could be scanned etc.
My plan has always been to go to our little sub post office in the village,draw cash,m then buy my liscence with cash, thus giving the spo 2 transactions, (I understand that its by these transactions that help the people in power decide who stays open and who gets closed).
OK I should have read the letter carefully, I thought is was a reminder. But we sorted thinsg out, then they said the liscence would come in the post, sometime towards the end of april.........
On the plus side, I have my recipt, which shows I have paid, which will come in handy, as I have forgottenm to pack liscence, as I have wound up with a few different bags,i.e fly bag, and roving bag, plus adaptions for each indiviual trip. This has meant that I have forgooten liscence/ membership cards in the past.
Only been asked for my liscence once in 9 years of living in the west country.
