Re: The First Rod For Me ( : When I began course fishing a few weeks ago I went to my local tackle shop. I told them exactly where and what Id be fishing... and they supplied the tackle accordingly. Maybe like yourself? I wish there was a rod for everything ![]() Kind regards

Re: The First Rod For Me ( : Thanks. I'll do That. Apparently There is a good tackle shop near me. When did you start fishing? Is it your first time or have you been doing other forms of fishing? Regards, Rob.

Re: The First Rod For Me ( : Hi Rob, yeah Ive been doing other forms of fishing... Well one form really. Ive been fly fishing from the age of 8....... 30 odd years ago now. I just really fancied a change. Im not saying that it got tedius catching the same fish all the time.... I still really love ressie fishing from a boat.... but I just fancied a bit of float fishing etc rather than being on my feet all day. Im completely brand new to any type of course fishing.... so Im learning the basics... like learning what pinkies are.... using hook links., I came on this site to learn a bit more... especially where the decent venues are for course fishing etc etc. Ive been spinner fishing twice at the Carthaganean fishery on the River Lea and there's a really decent canalat the bottom of my road, which Ive fished once. Not an expert by any stretch of the imagination... but Im loving it and Im completely addicted to fishing... I think it runs in the blood. Any way take good care mate and good luck. Fitz ![]()
