Widjid is on a distinguished road
Red face Daiwa Twilight rods, what are they for.

Greetings Once Again,

Being a lad who's getting on a bit I ask of you the following.

When fishing for silverfish & small carp [All we have on this NW Durham hill top] I use either a 12' waggler rod or a 9.5metre Shakespeare 'put over' pole. However, I find that my 'eyes are going a bit and sometimes when using the waggler rod I 'miss out' some of the small rod-end rings, not a good idea!

Reading the fishing mags. I notice a Daiwa advertisement 'pushing' a new range (Four rods I think?) called the 'Twilight' range & I imagine that this range is aimed at carp, chub, bream & barbel fishing? However, the smallest rod in the range is called 'The Whisper' and is rated with a test-curve of 1.5lb.
To continue - The 'end rings' on this particular rod are quite large, and would be much better for my eyes when threading through a 4 or 6lb mono line. BUT, would I be able to use this rod for waggler fishing when using, say, a 4lb main line with a 3lb hooklength?

What do you think? If you think it's a no no, can anyone recommend 12' waggler rod that has bigger rings than normal?

Regards,

Widjid
