Re: New years targets?

First plank of the "attack" is in place, just joined Birmingham Anglers. I might not be able to catch Barbel in a fish tank but if I can't catch one in the Severn then Ireally am a numpty. Can't wait. First stop though is going to be the Stour at Stourton to get back in the river fishing habit. Just need to figure out which days I am not "incapabale" due to drink or it's after effects. Getting banned (or worse) while over the limit really will put a cramp on things, hurting someone else even worse.

Re: New years targets?

Well here's my wishes for '09.
A barbel, any size will do, but over an oz would be nice. I hook them when I'm gudgeon fishing.
A 2lb+ grayling.
A 2lb rudd
A 20+ Carp
another pike, only caught 2.5 pike so far.
A Zander, only a foul hooked fingerling
Basical good fishing for me and my frines, and I've agreed to take on some pupils, so success for them as well.
Oh Twiddler, when it gets a bit warmer, would you like to come up to Higher Farm, last time I was there I had 19 or 20 carp on a fly, upo to 7lb

Would love to my Dear, hopefully by then I have had enough practise not to embarrass myself ;-)
