Strangest baits

What is the strangest bait you've caught on?
I thought about this the other week when I somehow caught a 1.5lb roach on Pepperami! Nowhere else have I seen roach caught on meat. This was at the same venue as a 3lb mirror jumped on an empty hook in the margins. Its a strange water!

Re: Strangest baits

apple is the heaviest toughest floater i have found.....it must work for surface fishing for the carp.....providing the apple is fresh the skin will make it float....because its so tough and fairly heavy you can cast it along way freelined too
