Complete Guide To Ledgering

I'm totally new to ledgering and was wondering if someone could make and easy guide to set it up or if theres 1 already on the internet !?

Also, how much will it cost to set it up excluding rod, reel and line.

Cost can be kept low if trawling ebay is your thing. Otherwise sunday markets and boot sales turn up some surprisingly good tackle.
There are a couple of legering rigs here...

Hope it helps.

Re: Complete Guide To Ledgering

Basically you need some smallish bomb weights, swivels and a few beads. The running leger described in the link i posted is easy and effective. Shouldnt cost more than a tenner all in. Probably less.

Re: Complete Guide To Ledgering

Alarm...aaahhh forgot about those as i dont use them. I prefer touch legering, basically just wind away the slack line and feel the bites with my finger on the line just off the spool. Lovely way to fish.
Alarms are anything from (roughly) a fiver upwards.
If anyone more experienced can add anything please do, im certainly no expert.
