Another bait question

Im going to fish the gipping soon, the stretch at the back of the boss hall industrial estate. There is supposed to be eels, perch, roach, tench and pike along there. I know the pike are easy to please but what would anyone recommend for the bream and tench? Ive tried sweetcorn before and didnt even get a knock! Thanks in advance.

Re: Another bait question

I've caught Breem and Tench both with maggots, but the Breem weren't very big around half a pound but the tench was pretty big (Well for my standards) around 1.5lbs....

Re: Another bait question

My PB tench was caught on spam, at 5lb. Only ever caught Bream on sweetcorn or maggot, both on the feeder.

Re: Another bait question

Ive just re-read my original post and ive realised i didnt actually explain myself too well. What i meant to get accross was, are river fish harder to please bait wise than the usual fisheries stock? Sorry about that :-)
