Gardeners pool Frampton on severn

Does any one know if there are any perch in gardeners pool? I'm going there for the first time tommorrow to try and catch perch but i forgot to ask the bloke in the tackle shop if there actually any in there.

We had a bad day i didnt see any fish at all not even any fry around the edges. What is the best way to approach this place.
