Targets for the next coarse season

As my first full season(only been fishing since july 2006) draws to a close I have decided to set myself some targets for the next season.

Targets for the coming year are:-

first Pike
first Zander
carp over 20lb
perch over 2lb
brown trout over 3 lb
roach over 2lb
barbel to double figures
grayling over 2 lb
tench over 8lb
dace over 8oz

What are your targets for the next year?

Re: Targets for the next coarse season

Targets no longer mean that much to me, I used to have regular targets but nowerdays as long as I can carry on catching decent sized fish I'm happy. so my loose targets will be:

Barbel between 8lb and 9lb+, I may get the odd double but Ive found that Barbel of around 8lb to 9lb seem to give the best fight anyway.
Tench Between 4lb to 7lb.
Roach around the 2lb mark (Although it would be nice to catch one over 3lb for the first time).
Chub around the 5lb to 6lb mark.
Carp around the 20lb mark.

Anything else is just a bonus.

Re: Targets for the next coarse season

To get to know the 3 to 4 miles of my local river/canal really, really well as i'm hearing of some quality fish in there, & to pull one of the 20lb + Pike out on a lure!......

Or alternatively just to mange to get out more & catch the odd fish whilst enjoying, just being there & the wildlife around me.....

Nic

P.S nearly forgot, to try to see one of the incredibly ellusive Otters that i'm told have now populated the river.
