moonphase....(how) does it work?

nice to see the moonphases on the site....but how do they relate to actual fishing? I mean, which part of the lunar cycle is deemed "good" for fishing? Do any members believe it works? Is it species specific....ie works for say pike but not chub? I am interested to hear members views, Keith.

Re: moonphase....(how) does it work?

Well when sea fishing is very relevant too tides, new and no moon both give biggest tides
have found here that new moon will often kill fishing though as well as like a floodlight
not sussed course though
