Korum Deluxe Accessory Chair

I suffer from a bad back and my existing chair, a Fox recliner, is really not good for me. Therefore I'm in the market for a new chair.

I quite like the idea of the Korum Deluxe Accessory chair because of all the bits you can attach to it and the fact that it's lighter than my existing chair but does anyone here have it and what do you think of it?

Re: Korum Deluxe Accessory Chair

Cool, thanks for that. I now have an itchy credit card finger!

Think I'm gonna order it. The way I look/justify it is that I was gonna buy a bait waiter so that I don't have to bend down too far all the time and the chair comes with it's own bait waiter in table form. So that's saved me £10. I won't need up to 4 bank sticks as I can use the ones for the chair so that's saved me £40. I won't need a trolly as you can get wheels for the chair, so that's saved me £30. Yeah I know that all those extra features are things you have to pay for and so it doenst work out any cheaper but that's not the point

Re: Korum Deluxe Accessory Chair

I bought my Korum chair 3 years ago. I have to say that it's one of the most comfortable chairs to use for short sessions. I don't use the accessories, but use the tray attached to the side for making up rigs and changing baits. The best feature for me is the four adjustable feet which can be adjusted for any ground surface. I have used it a lot and it has shown no signs of any weakness or damage. It's also good for your back and being a big bloke I have always felt comfortable using it. I've even fallen asleep a couple of times!

Re: Korum Deluxe Accessory Chair

Well it's arrived. I ordered the deluxe chair which comes with a side tray along with a butt rest attachment and a telescopic feeder arm.

First Impressions:

1. There is no tightening screw for the table so no way of attaching it to the legs! I can only assume that this was a mistake and I'll be getting onto the supplier first thing in the morning.

2. The chair ain't exactly quick to set up! I'm sure I'll get quicker at it as I'm kinda all fingers and thumbs with it at the moment. On my old chair I could almost set it up in one movement but this requires wheels to be loosened, if you decide to attach accessories then legs have to be taken off (although you can leave most permanently attached, legs to be folded down, leg height set and the frame to be clipped together. That said, once it is set-up it is incredibly sturdy!

3. The butt rest attachment is great

4. The chair is very, very comfortable

5. The bag on the back will definitely be very useful

6. I'm not sure I like the telescopic feeder arm. The telescopic tube extension has a flat top bit which means that the tube can't rotate around. This is problem because if you are using one of your own rod rest heads you often find that once fully tightened the head is actually on it's side and so unusable. I can only assume that you must use the Korum heads with it? Also due to it's size you can't really leave the feeder arm attached when you pack the chair away, well physically you can leave it attached but it's just going to get in the way or have someone's eye out. Also, as I suspected anyway, you couldn't really rest your rod on these if fishing for shy fish as any movement on the chair causes the rest to bounce around a bit so if you have a tight line to your hook or float you are going to pull it around too.

I think once I've become faster at setting it up I'll like it more and more. There's no doubt it's more comfortable than my old chair and better for my back which was the main reason for me buying it anyway.
