Reel Advice Please Just got back into fishing ( see my previous post) and have now got the rod sorted, a Greys Prodigy Power Float and I need a good reel to match up to the rod. I'm really out of touch so any suggestions appreciated. Will be fishing lakes and river for anything from roach to chub and smallish carp. Float mainly but occasional ledger.

Re: Reel Advice Please I can only really recommend reels that I have used so would recommend the following Shimano reels for the Chub, Barbel, Carp, Tench fishing etc. which would be nicely ballanced with the Greys Prodigy Power Float rod: 1. Shimano Baitrunner Aero GTE-B 5000 (Silvery finish with new Clutch system) 2. Shimano Baitrunner Aero GTE-C 5000 (Retro Black finish with newer Clutch system) 3. Shimano Stradic 2500GTM-RB (excellent reel) I have heard a lot of good things about the Okuma reels but as I haven't used them yet I can't comment on them. ![]() __________________ My Web Site (The Average Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now)

Re: Reel Advice Please I would have to say for the price Okuma, are one of the best reels on the market, apart from my match reel all my other reels are okuma, and I have no problems with them and how many other reel companies give you a 5 year guarantee. for 90% of coarse fishing the Epix or the Interceptors are worth a look at. __________________ "The muscles of 20 men, and the brains of 20 mussels",
