Question Rod Holder

Hi All
Some months ago I saw in a fishing mag an advert for a gadget that held the butt end of a rod or pole by a hook like device that automatically released when the rod was picked up. The ad gave a web site for a demo video. I have lost all the info on this. Can anyone help please?

Thumbs up Re: Rod Holder

Hi Darrell
Thanks for your reply. Sorry so long in my reply, have been away.
I have managed to find the details with the great help from the guys at Exeter Angling.
The device is called Clever Claw and info is on their web site at cleverclaw.co.uk

Re: Rod Holder

Looks like a very useful item. especially if like me you suffer from spondulosis of the neck through sitting wrongly when holding the pole over the years.
Do they release even when wet?
If so Ill have to get one.

I noticed that the 'great man of match fishing' Bobb Nudd is in the advert so I hope its better than the 'MaggiPult' that he advertised a few years ago (which I was fool enough to buy, and is still in the back of the shed somewhere). once bitten and all that

Re: Rod Holder

Bold Bear,

Ever thought about puting the pole between your legs? i have a bad back and have found putting the pole on a rest and rest the butt between your legs allows for a quick strike and is very confortable.

if anyone uses the claw can they let me know what they think.

I never fell for the magiipult...

cheers Darrel
