float fishing vs ledering

is one method more sucsessful than the other when i was younger always ledgered only caught a few since starting to use the float i seem to caught a lot more what are your opinions on this

Allways favoured ledgering myself as i also found the biger fish came out from the botom right out a distance and i had no chance of casting a float that far!! mind you im a novice at freshwater compared to half this lot!! lol

i alwaya (well normally) fish 1 rod on ledger and 1 rod on a float or floater fishing on top, but sometimes will fish 2 on the ledger, and sit behind the bite alarms and wait for a run, depends which venue i'm fishing, but i do believe the bigger fish come from the bottom
