Re: I want to go fishing, but should I?

I have also discovered this section in the fishing bible :

Chapter 2 Section 25 subsection 12 para b
If a fisherman suffers an illness, he shall be permitted, as a way to recovery and to assist his well being, of attending a full days fishing at a venue of his choice without fear of work docking pay or fish refusing to be hooked.

The interesting part of para b is the last sub paragraph :

Whilst undertaking this rest & recovery at said venue, it is a requirement that said ill person's fishing kit be transported to and from the venue by their spouse and whilst at location, said spouse will ensure copious amounts of coffee (or alcohol as spouse will be driving) and will, on demand, supply egg & bacon freshly cooked.

It is an offence for said spouse to fail to carry out this task.

Think thats says it all Mith - go get 'em

Re: I want to go fishing, but should I?

Well I did go today, we had a "fun day" organised and I was partnered with a sea angler for the day, had been planned for ages, and I had promised the tackle.

Was good, I had people to carry my kit to the van, and from the van to the swim.

I sat in the chair and tied a bit of tackle on, cast a few 1 oz feeders and caught a couple of fish, did a little talking telling him what to do and had great fun watching my partner for the day catch his first Carp and learn that fishing on the darkside can be fun.

I am now totally worn out but glad to get out of the house.

I have actually been told I probably have an enlarged blood vessel above the heart which is why I am so tired, getting fluid on the lungs ( it was not an infection) and have a resting heart rate of 100bpm.

So I will go again when I have a buddy to do the carrying for me as it was a good chill day, just what I needed. I did not fish hard, just dabbled for fun.

Even got a bacon and egg butty from the cafe on site.

Mike
