| Re: What is the "cane" of a Cane Tipped Float? I am no expert but I have always understood cane to be bamboo. We have a friend who still use split cane(bamboo) rods, worth a fortune as they are antiques, and I have some very light little floats that are made from bamboo, great for a still water. These days there are many other materials that are as good as cane but far cheaper to manufacture. __________________ Life is brief and fragile. Do that which makes you happy. |

| Re: What is the "cane" of a Cane Tipped Float? Thanx mithrandir, We sort of guessed. My good friend has been making floats using bamboo food skewers (100 for $2)....they turn out really nice. __________________ A bad day fishing is better than a good day working!
