Watch out for the Alligators mate. It will take a few Pingu pies to satisfy their appetite.....

Re: lake fishing in florida

OOH that sounds like fun Dave!!

Almost all of the FL peninsula is fresh water marshland and it "flows" VERY SLOWLY north.
You'll have NO problems finding a place to fish!! Look on Mapquest ( http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...3d&ambiguity=1 ) and click on the "aerial image" on the top right.

Nor will you have any difficulty finding kit. I'm going to guess you'll fly into Miami, then drive thru Dania Beach, FL (=Ft. Lauderdale) to Kissimmee. Orlando is just a hop to the north too.
Orlando ( http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...=94&storeID=25 ) and Diana Beach ( http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...ptId=000000000 ) both have Bass Pro Shop stores.
Miami is supposed to have one too, but I can't tell if its open yet. The blurb is dated 2005? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st...=94&storeID=63

Be sure to try a dinner of one of the kittens Greenheart showed you. The restaurants along the highways ususlly back to the water where they catch your dinner.

There's guide services all over the place. Your hotel or travel agent Should be able to help. You might also want to try your luck at Bow fishing, I saw a program about it a short while ago, looked like a blast and w/modern compound bows and sights, its not nearly as difficult as it sounds.

Your gonna be in marshland you might want to rent one of these... http://www.marshmaster.com/ LOL...I wanna play w/one of these soo bad!!

Good Luck, Tight Lines and take lots of pix!!
Nelson

ps. The flight to and from the states may be more of an adventure for you. Remember- No liguids, gels, shave creams, any toiletries over 3 ounces. And they have to be packed in a CLEAR zip-lock bag.

Look at the TSA (new since 9/11) http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtrav...ted-items.shtm
And some Airline regs. http://www.anytimevacations.com/luggage/regulations.htm

pps. Sun screen and mosquito repellent too. Buy it in FL.
