carved fish

as I might have already mentioned, i've been laid up for the past couple of weeks as I've just had a herina op. So no fishing for me!! boo hoo

Still it's given me a chance to make a few Pike traces for lure fishing (happy to post instructions with pics if anyone is interested) as well as carving some fish into thin rubber that can then be used to print the image. Here's my last two attempts

And this is what they look like printed out

Actually it's a lot easier than it looks as long as you can get your hands on the materials and a nice fine lino cutting tool.

Not as much fun as fishing, but they will look nice printed on some quality paper and mounted in a frame...they will be just fine for my study!

Talking Re: carved fish

That Perch is fantastic mate. It would look good on a Forum badge (Hint, Hint Dan) Funny, for some reason it reminds me of Twiddler....

Re: carved fish

Brilliant carvings, have you consdered putting some up for sale? Good idea about the badge, how about T-shirts, you can get an iron on material that can go through a computer printer, hey presto a D.I.Y T-Shirt.

Well done, makes me jealous.

Re: carved fish

A commercial idea for you, perhaps an apporach to the prechfishers, the pikeanglers etc, offering a T-shirts, you may make a penny or two. make up for the hernia-time of work etc, not spent on the bank.
There are many small printing places that can do nie T-shirts quite reasonably, technology being what is now. Its someting I have thought of, but with a horticultural theme.
