pole or rod

what do you think is the best, rod or pole i have set up this pole in as numerious variety of fishing forums and would like every one to tell me there best.

i prefer pole i just think its more fun

lot easier to get fish in on a rod thow

if you want bigger fish rod is a lot easier, i have never used pole so i prefer rods!!

a rod is more versitle, can spin, float leadger etc..

i have used a pole and can understand the benefits of one,but i grew up with a rod and reel and i just cant get used to not having a reel,having said that ,i had some great fun last year on a 5 metre whip with some carp and tench,but give me a nice match rod any day
