Not Matt Hayes Again

Any TV footage of fishing is to be welcomed but the constant rerun of programs on Discovery does get a little boring.
I like Matt Hayes but!
Are there any other programs. I have tried to find Tight Lines on Sky but can’t find it. I heard Korda have a TV spot, again can’t find.
Help !
David

Re: Not Matt Hayes Again

I like Matt, especially when he's with Browny. Thinking about it, the larger percentage of progs are with Matt Hayes so it makes sense that they seem to be on all of the time. Ultimately though, I think it's better to watch a few re-runs than have no angling on the box at all

I have to admit I like Mick Brown more.....I think he is the better angler but that is only my personal believe

Re: Not Matt Hayes Again

I wasn’t knocking Matt.
I was just asking for any info on Keith Arthur’s Tight Lines and Korda’s TV spot.
Anyone know?
Regards, David

Re: Not Matt Hayes Again

I have to admit that Matt Hayes is a fine angler, some of the fish he has banked on hs shows are massive, but he is abit annoying at times, (one friend I know refers to him as Chpmunk Chops, not sure what she calls me). My favourites are Passion for Angling , Day Ticket and Fishing on the Edge. They all have some of thebanter that goes on amongst friends on the bank, which I think is an important part of fishing, Passion does have some fantastic cinematography, and does show very well the reasons for being on the bank when the fish arn't being co-operative.
There is a new series being finnished, at the mo, I think its called Catching the Impossible, with Martin Bowler, same cinematographer as Passion for Angling.

Re: Not Matt Hayes Again

Matt hayes is a fine angler, who can turn his hand to any rod be it coarse or fly rod and seems to have the knack of coming up with the goods.
But i must agree with you dave the reruns are gettng tedious.

Re: Not Matt Hayes Again

Tight Lines series finished a few weeks ago. I don't think they show it during the summer.

Danny Fairbrass (Korda boss) did a series called Thinking Tackle (on sky not discovery). VERY technical carp programme. Haven't seen it for a while so it must have stopped. Check listings because they're sometimes on in the middle of the night on Sky sports 4 etc!

Can't wait for Catching the Impossible. Looks awesome but won't be ready before winter 2008.

Discovery Real Time 2 have been showing Passion for Angling all month at 11. Best fishing programme ever.

PS I like Matt Hayes. His early programmes were quite weak (but with the odd gem) but his more recent output has been great. But I agree about too many repeats .
