Re: Not Matt Hayes Again Tight Lines is on Sky Sports every Friday evening - it's pre-recorded as to last years live shows....this year 52 weeks of it - I'm very surprised you can't find it - usually SS1,2 or 3 6.30pm onwards for an hour-long show. ....as for re-runs - Discovery Real Time have not commissioned any new shows for this year, for whatever reason...just be thankfull for the re-runs - I'm sure it's better than no fishing on telly at all!!! Alternatively, get out there with your camera's, your scripts, make sure you can talk for long periods into a camera - then find a producer, a director, sound engineer, location manager, and then catch fish for the camera, not forgetting to order fabulous weather - then when you've done all this - submit it to a TV channel - who will probably bin it!

Re: Not Matt Hayes Again A passion for Angling was made in 1993. Its a pretty sorry state that it has taken so long to produce another series like this one. The only TV series ever to discover the true lure of Angling. The narration by Bernard Cribbins is an art form lost in current TV programs. I find Matt Hayes a bit annoying. He's the chav of modern Angling tv. No doubt he is a good angler but he has done nothing to raise the profile of our beloved sport. The constant references he makes about male genitalia in an effort to try and be funny makes me cringe. Mick Brown is far more watchable.

Re: Not Matt Hayes Again I've quite enjoyed Discovery Channels Angling month, but I am getting a little tired of hearing "You wouldn't like that as a wart on the end of your nose". Agreed, I think Browny is more watchable. I also liked the episodes of Day Ticket, never noticed that before, very amusing at times. __________________ Taking Care of Business

Re: Not Matt Hayes Again To be honest I actually like Matt Hayes, I think that the programs he has made are fun to watch and they can be informative as well and I think that his programs are better suited to the styles of fishing we do in Britain rather than Rex Hunt, who seems to spend more time posing than actually fishing and speaking gibberish, and not taking the care to treat the fish with respect. End of rant {sorry} __________________ "The muscles of 20 men, and the brains of 20 mussels",

I still think a passion for angling was the best fishing series ever made. I also enjoy Paul Young & Henry gilbys stuff, as much for their enthusiam as their ability. Also can anyone remember Jack Charltons series Jacks Game. I know it was about all country sports & not just fishing, but it was very good. __________________ One man's fish is another man's poissons http://www.deepsea.co.uk http://www.wildtrout.org
