| Discarded Line on the Bank Have you ever encountered discarded line on the bank? I have and whilst answering another thread remembered how it was dealt with, (aprt from flogging those who left it there). At work I use a gas powered flame gun, like a plumber blow torch with a long (1m) neck. It destroys line that might be on the bank so quick that the surrounding undergrowth does not get the chance to catch fire, its not as good as raking the stuf away, but sometimes it gets undergrowh mixed in and raking caused more probs. Anyway I thought I'd mention how I've dealth with it in the past. Flame guns range in price from £10 (Lidls) upwards, more in the D.I.Y stores. Don't use one in very hot conditions and with out permision. |

| Re: Discarded Line on the Bank I usually just pull up as much as will come, wad it up and stick it in my fishing bucket till I can throw it in a propper can. The same when I'm fishing from a boat or float tube. I'll pull as much out of the trees as I can reach.... __________________ A bad day fishing is better than a good day working!
