Question help ...... fresh water fish id

hi every one
as a sea angler im starting to get bit lost with fresh water fish id-
iv been playing around these ponds catching some write funny looking fish, but iv not got a clue whats what,
so does any of you fine men and women have any fresh water indentity web site to familiarise my self with ??????

Try looking at the pics in the species hunt there are a few there to start you off.

right, im real lost now . iv just read about brown gold fish , is some one taking the mick


cheers tat , but iv had a look at the species hunt pictures and some look the same to me but it does help for some of the main fish which i think will help till some one come up with the goods i need

I thought brown goldfish were only found in toilet bowls!!!

but now I find they are a real species!

more to this fish identification than we thought

I guess in confined waters crossbreeding is common and local variations occur, so it is not always cut and dried.
