Re: 2010 fish of the year vote

I doubt any true angler on here is going to say that ANY of the fish on the vote were anything other than good catchs. Unless you are fishing a tiny pond with only one thousand 60LB carp in it that have no natural food and are starving so bad even I could catch one :)

We all fish for different reasons and that's why we see things differently. I CAN see what Zeeman was getting at though I can also see that maybe the tone was a bit blunt. Heck the guys been in America for years so give him a break, they had to voice over Bladerunner so the Americans could understand the mostly obvious plot for crying out loud.

Arguing amongst ourselves (and I'm not saying this is an argument, a debate maybe) when we are all pretty much true anglers isn't something I think any of us want.

Personally I would rate any fish that takes skill to hook and land. If it's blue sharks then you do need to get on a boat and you are looking to a skipper with the knowledge to put you on the fish. The way I look at it , a days boat fishing is more of a team game anyway. Still doesn't detract from the fish or the angler.

A big perch is a mighty impressive catch in anyones books.

Let's keep the forum it's usual friendly self and I'm sure that things will return to normal, with just the normal level of sarcastic overtone and micky taking.

Till I post a picture of the 2 LB river roach I am going to catch this weekend ;)

Tight lines all.

Re: 2010 fish of the year vote

Oh that's where it is ;) I've been like a teeenager who's just found out he's about to be visited by a spaceship full of nympho' blondes the ugliest of whom makes Angelina Joli look like a dog and all of whom need impregnating TONIGHT! , waiting for it. And you've been buggering around with it.

I've even got a small river , a medium river and then the Severn or Teme lined up for it.

And Nicky tells me Dan hasn't picked it up yet.

Ahhhh! If anyone sees me posted on you-tube trying to catch fish in the garden , on the lawn, I'm just learning to cast, I haven't gone nuts.

Yet!
