Re: Rules for species hunt 2006

My point exactly !,the serious people would like to introduce loads of rules.I think its fine as it is,nice and simple. I was merely sugesting if they want loads of rules ,let them have their own serious species hunt, while the rest of us enjoy our own uncomplicated fun, species hunt as everyone has been so far

Re: Rules for species hunt 2006

...the rules are actually quite simple...

catch a fish - report it (with pic preferable but optional)

Cheat if you want to, but hey, who cares!! only the cheats and the liars know who they're cheating and lying to - yep themselves!

It's just nice to see what you's guy's are landing around the country - it's a bit of a catch report really - with points!

Personally, I think we should organise a Forum pegged match - ANNUALLY - take some dosh from the proceeds and give it to a designated charity/charities - Forum members ONLY though - have a good day out, dish out a few prizes, then go and have a bite to eat, with a few beers and laughs - but the winner gets the first round in

I throw it open to you guys - centralise the venue so at least all members (in uk that is) have a chance to make it...

Well I think it's a fab idea...

Re: Rules for species hunt 2006

Ive thought about this one and this is what ive come up with.

There will be species hunts for the following fish-
Flat fish
Flat fish that live in muddy waters
Flat fish from sany beaches
Any flat fish cought on worm
Any flat fish caught flat fish
Feather caught flat fish
Flat fish that didnt give a bite.
Flat fish that gave a bite

Flat fish with wings i.e rays
Rays with spikes
Rays with spots
Pretty looking rays
One eyed rays (trawl damaged)extra points available here.
Albeano rays with three eyes will not count.

All round fish will score a double point with bonuses for night catches on size 3 hooks or below, any fish caught on size 2/0 or above will see the capter banned from the comp for a max of three weeks unless a grovelling letter is sent to admin.
Only natural baits to be used and proof of them being dug by the angler concerned will be needed before any points are awarded,no proof no points?
Anyone found casting to far or not far enough will have tackle confiscated and a letter will be sent to there parents/gardians.
No fishing on tuesdays or friday nights.
Anyone without children will forfit the right to fish on double point friday which will be held once a month on monday.
No photos of fish without there consent, anyone found taking photos of underage fish will be reported to the RSPB and not invited to the end of comp do.
Any persons found painting or touching up fish to resemble another will be forced to dig worms for the forum for one year.
All fish must be over 8lb with the max size depending on how cloudy the weather is next week.
No photos at night, anglers are to sketch the fish, fish have night vision too!
Sharks may be entered but not big nasty ones with teeth.
Any fish caught on that crap fake crab stuff will be worth 1000 points.

Note--Richards decision is final.
Only by the strict following of these rules will we make this fish hunt
work.

I hope this has helped and will make this poorly run and thought out competition work.

PS Fresh water fish welcome but no daft names for the fish please.
