loving this whole species comp idea as is really making me think about how and what i'm fishing for, and sure i'm getting better at my catch rate generally for attempting all the different meathods , both sides do merge and one day i'll end up as pingu the grey???lol

i need to widen my fishing, the problem is i enjoy fishing for smoothounds too much, aim for a ray next me thinks

What I think is great is the amount of spieces being caught

I must admit that I do now target fish ( which is not working ) its also will be great to find out how many different fish are caught by the forum members over the whole year

Yeah, it's a brilliant competition.. lovin' it!!

I had thought (and feel free to tell me to shut up if this has already been discussed), but it would be nice to have an overall winner at the end, and also a Sea Species winning pair and a Darkside winning pair? All adds to the interest (and not the least bit influenced by the fact that I don't like freshwater fishing - LOL).

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the leader board Dan.

Its nice to see so many species actually being caught. Like other forum peeps its spiced up my sea, Game and Coarse fishing, which of late I have to admit was flat.

I have enjoyed giving people somerthing to aim at

But seriously its been a great comp and thanks to Fishy Paul and Richard for setting it up

We're only half way through and there's the Rivers to come yet!
