Talking Instruments

How many of us on here play instruments? I know quite a lot of us play guitar and i was interested in what set ups you've got and who your influences are etc..

I've been playing electric guitar now for around 8 months.

My setup is an epiphone les paul (lefty) and i use a marshall 15 watt amp. I have a boss DS2 distortion pedal too.

My influences are Metallica (Kirk Hammett) and Jane's Addiction (Dave Navarro)

The 1st riff I learnt was Enter Sandman by Metallica and the 1st whole song I learnt was Teenage Kicks by The Undertones.

How about you lot?

Re: Instruments

Nice post mate. I also play guitar, been playing since I was 14, now 35. I've got an Epiphone Les Paul, Ibanez RG570, Ibanez RG550, Amps: Laney LC15, Marshall VS100R, Pedals: MXR Supercomp, Marshall Supervibe, Crybaby wah, Guvnor 2, Digitech Delay, POD 2.0/pedalboard. My main influences are Gary Moore, Hendrix, Malmsteen, loads more . I love Metallica, have done for years, Arch Enemy, Pantera, but lots of blues too and some jazz now (showing my age ). I *think* the first riff I learnt was Pretty Vacant by the Sex Pistols. I don't play as much now, but still love it when I do

Cheers
Rob
