how do you like your music

well as wasting a day awaiting a delivery thought would go for it , as managed to reinstate old hifi in consevatry means have turntable again and i'm loving it so have been sorting and browsing playing and enjoying loads of my old vinyl and smiling like a nutter

now i also have loads of cds but dont cherish in same way, and although download mp3's find them very sterile

thinking on this i believe its the physical thing of an album, or some cds, especially ones with great artwork such as the rodney mathews yes album covers, or coloured /painted special editions( marillion ones are amazing)

It was always being the first to say too your mates "hey look at this album" and be the coolest, now you cant show the album or share the excitement of the music just share a set of earphones on an mp3 player

anyway whats your view

shuffles off to play more whitesnake at volume 10(neighbours are out)

dave

Re: how do you like your music

I am lucky, I recorded all my vinyl onto the PC as MP3's. So I have the convenience of MP3 and the authenticity of vinyl, some I have duplicated as downloads so I have full CD quality as well, depending on mood.

CD's or MP3 for me, but have some old vinyls which I sometimes use on my dads turntable.

Re: how do you like your music

just about anything as long as its loud! as going a bit mutton these days.

i'm not really fussed about format as mostly listen to the radio while at work.
someone left a jean michael jarre 'oxygene' cd in the truck last night so i was giving that some loud all the way to barnwood.
and back this morning.

i rarely buy music these days but also liked some of the artwork on those big old album covers.
the cd format has a distinct advantage as the missus has got a large collection of all types of music + when i can get ahold of her damn daniel o donnel cd's they fit well in the toaster,(shhh, dont tell her).
my tastes have been varied over the years and i find i'm becoming more tolerent of the stuff i hated in the past.(exept daniel and possibly cliff)
